As we continue to monitor the situation with COVID-19, we are taking additional steps to help protect the health and well-being of our employees and guests.
Effective immediately Sheridan Nurseries respectfully will require all guests to wear a face mask or covering when visiting our stores. We believe it is an added layer of protection for our employees and guests and is one of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of germs. By wearing a face mask, you will protect yourself and our employees.
If you have a mask, please bring it with you. If you have forgotten or you do not have a mask, we will have disposable masks available at our entrances for you to purchase for $1. All profits will be donated to local charities.
We continue to ask our guests to limit 2 visitors per household, practice safe social distancing by staying 2 meters / 6 feet apart from others and leaving your pets at home. Thanks for your understanding during these challenging times and doing your part to keep everyone safe.

Dear Valued Guest
I’m writing to share with you some important information. Sheridan Nurseries has learned that an employee at our Toronto Garden Centre (2827 Yonge St, Toronto) has tested positive for COVID-19 on March 17, 2020. Immediately upon learning of this, we closed our Toronto location and contacted Toronto’s Public Health Department. In addition, as a voluntary precautionary measure, we have decided to temporarily close all 8 Sheridan Nurseries Garden Centres effective immediately through the end of March.
The affected employee is receiving appropriate medical care and is at home in quarantine. We ask anyone who shopped at our Toronto location from March 2 to March 17 to self-monitor for any COVID-19 symptoms. In the event you develop any COVID-19 symptoms, please consult the Government of Ontario’s Coronavirus information website for what to do: https://www.ontario.ca/page/2019-novel-coronavirus. The situation is evolving rapidly and this page will contain the most up to date information.
Sheridan Nurseries’ number one concern will always be the safety and well-being of our guests, employees, and the communities we proudly serve. It has been this way for 107 years. The temporary closing of our stores will minimize the risks to our guests and employees. We will do our best to minimize any financial hardship that may fall on our employees who have been so loyal to us over the years as a result of the current situation. We are and have always been a family company. We take care of our family.
Thank you for being a valued Guest of Sheridan Nurseries. We wish you and your loved ones all the best during this difficult time. We will be in touch soon with more updates and look forward to serving you again soon.
